Terms of service
Last updated October 1, 2026
This is a starting template. Replace the bracketed details and have it reviewed by a lawyer before you launch.
The agreement
These terms are between EkklesiaApp Inc. and the church or organization that creates an account on EkklesiaApp ("you"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. The person creating the account confirms they may act for the church.
The service and your subscription
- New churches get a free 30-day trial. After that, EkklesiaApp is billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe, at the plan that fits your church's number of active people (everyone in your directory not marked inactive): Starter, up to 100 people, $19/month or $190/year; Growing, up to 300 people, $39/month or $390/year; Established, up to 1,000 people, $69/month or $690/year; Large, up to 2,500 people, $119/month or $1190/year. Larger churches: contact us.
- If your church grows more than 10% past its plan, or shrinks comfortably into a smaller one, your plan changes at your next renewal. We never charge mid-term for growth. Prices may change with [30] days' notice.
- You can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing; access continues to the end of the paid month. We don't offer partial refunds except where required by law.
- If payment fails, access may be limited until it's resolved.
Your data
- You own the information you put into EkklesiaApp. You can download it at any time from Settings.
- You're responsible for having permission to store the information you enter, including children's and giving information, and for telling your members how you use it.
- We handle your data as described in our privacy policy.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service for anything unlawful, to send spam, or to try to access another church's information. Keep sign-ins private and give each person the lowest role they need.
Giving statements
EkklesiaApp prepares contribution statements from the records you enter. You're responsible for their accuracy and for meeting any tax rules that apply to your church.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available and secure but can't promise it will be uninterrupted. We may improve or change features; if we make a change that significantly reduces the service, we'll tell you in advance.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the [12] months before the claim. [Have your lawyer adapt this section to your jurisdiction.]
Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. After closing, you have [30] days to download your data before it's deleted.
